A gravestone taken from the Cavendish Community Cemetery in P.E.I. Elwin Wyand is the chair of the board that runs the cemetery. Wyand and the board simply forgot they were told the stone would be taken. (Shane Hennessey/CBC)Wyand said the employee was doing work at the cemetery this past fall and noticed the stone was damaged so he pried it out of the ground to fix it. He said it makes him feel good to know the stone will be brought back to its rightful place.
