Mycoplasma need not cripple dairy profitability says American vetSUPPLIED Dr Paul Dettloff will talk about Mycoplasma bovis in New Zealand. Mycoplasma bovis needn't be a death sentence for farm profitability, says United States veterinarian Dr Paul Dettloff. Dettloff will be visiting New Zealand in early March to speak about avoiding animal diseases, including M. bovis. However, Dettloff said the disease need not reduce dairy profitability here. He had mostly seen M. bovis on farms running cows with overly acidic rumens, associated with feeding higher amounts of grain to them.
