The Myanmar president also congratulated Sheikh Hasina and her party, the Awami League, on the landslide victory ofthe 11th parliamentary elections held on December 30, 2018, reports the UNB. President Win Myint extended his best wishes for the continued economic development, peace and prosperity of Bangladesh during Sheikh Hasina’s term, the Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday. Additionally, Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc congratulated Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for her reappointment for a third consecutive term. He expressed interest in continuing to work closely with Prime Minister Hasina to further promote the friendly relationship and multi-faceted cooperation between Vietnam and Bangladesh, in the interests of its two peoples and for the sake of peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world over.
