The accident happened on the Thep Krasattree road in Moo 1 village in Tambon Sri Sunthorn in Thalang district at 9.05pm, Pol Capt Kraisorn Boonprasop, deputy inspector of Thalang police station said. The victim, identified as Tun Win Naing, 32, suffered fatal head injuries when he was hit by a pickup truck. Panuchanart Klinfoon, 48, said he was driving a Toyota Fortuner SUV and two friends were following him in a pickup truck and a Toyota car, when a man suddenly crossed the road in front of them. Panuchanart said his SUV hit the man and the pickup truck, driven by Sarawut Madthing, 30, crushed him. Panuchanart and Sarawut were taken into custody for questioning.
