KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 26): My EG Services Bhd (MyEG) has signed an agreement to invest 15 million yuan or RM9.24 million in a Chinese mobile augmented reality and virtual reality (AR/VR) developer. The e-government services provider said its wholly-owned venture investment arm, My EG Capital Sdn Bhd, signed the deal today to acquire a 3.125% stake in Ximmerse. "We are investing and will continue to invest in AR/VR because we believe these technologies will integrate into every part of our lifestyle. Through My EG Capital, other technology businesses the e-government services provider has invested in thus far include Fashion Valet, Agmo Studios, Hurr.tv and Stampede Solutions. MyEG shares closed two sen or 0.74% higher at RM2.72, valuing the group at RM9.81 billion.
