KUALA LUMPUR: MyEG Services Bhd has entered into a memorandum of understanding to take up a 40% stake in an Indonesian e-government services provider for US$10mil (RM42mil). The proposed strategic partnership with PT Cartenz Technology Indonesia, subject to the fulfilment of relevant terms and conditions, marked the group’s entry into the Indonesian e-Government space. “MyEG and Cartenz will jointly implement real-time monitoring of business transactions for tax computation purposes across Indonesia,” the company said in a statement on Monday. “In addition, MyEG and Cartenz will also collaborate to roll-out other solutions that MyEG has successfully deployed in Malaysia and thePhilippines,’ it said. To date, Cartenz has deployed its tax monitoring system to some 5,000 business outlets and has provided its tax revenue system to 76local governments, including Jakarta and Bali.
