I didn’t call out “no jumping in the muddy puddle!” or “no splashing!” or even “be careful!” as I always did when in the city. It took me back to my childhood and how I had enjoyed jumping in muddy puddles and making mud chapatis. I realised that it was in my teens when I tried to play and people gave me disapproving looks. If you’re like me and your fascination with rain went out the window as soon as you “grew up” then you’ll be glad the rain didn’t catch you unaware.
