Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said her response to the March 15 attacks was not the story that needed to be told. The prime minister added the attacks on the two mosques remain very raw for New Zealand. The Muslim community says it wasn't properly consulted about the making of a new movie about the mosque attacks. It says the Muslim community has not been properly consulted and many members knew nothing about it until it was announced. Support welcomedNIYA co-chair Haris Murtaza told RNZ it is encouraging to see how rapidly the petition has attracted support.
