According to him, his ministry was created barely three years ago, thus, does not have enough exposure to solve the problems that have plagued the inner cities and Zongos over the years of the nonexistence of the ministry. Comparing his rather ‘young’ ministry to others that have existed since the first republic, he noted that, even though such ministries have existed for as long as he could remember, they have not been able to solve their pertinent issues. He further established that the performance of his ‘young’ ministry so far is quite impressive thus he envisions that given another 62 years, the ministry would be able to wipeout all the problems it has come to meet and even subsequent ones. The household toilets project is not only targeted at providing toilet facilities for residents in the enclave of inner cities but also aimed at restoring human dignity through seeking an end to open defecation.
