Updated Mon, May 30th 2016 at 08:33 GMT +3Governor Cornel RasangaGovernor Cornel Rasanga claims his life is in danger after his bodyguards were withdrawn. Speaking to the Press in Siaya town, the governor alleged a hit squad had been sent to Siaya to kill him and said the Government should be held responsible if anything happens to him. Rasanga, his deputy Wilson Ouma and Assembly Speaker George Okode led an anti-IEBC demonstration in Siaya town that left two people dead and 15 others with gun-shot wounds. He, however, did not say who had sent the hit squad or why they wanted him dead. He said Mr Owino had insinuated he incited the public to stage demonstrations against the Independent Electoral and boundaries Commission in Siaya last Monday.
