Speaking with the NigerianTribune, Abdulateef, a Nursery Two pupil, said that when he was offered bread by a neighbour, his guardian asked him to go to their apartment. “It was my guardian, Eleha, that pressed a hot iron on my back, causing burns. She unplugged the iron and pressed it on my back after asking me to remove my shirt,” the boy said. “I went to the neighbour and told her that what she did was not right, as she would not allow the boy to realise his wrongdoing. I also spoke about meeting him in our neighbour’s apartment eating their garri, asking if that was good.
