As such, if those of us who are WEIRDer try to apply WEIRD psychology and WEIRD institutions to others who are far less WEIRD — as is the case for much of the world — it is exceedingly likely that those attempts will sputter out. We need to acknowledge that being WEIRD is weird, and the majority of everyone else is not as WEIRD.
