Police on Tuesday said the crash occurred at 00.20am near Lukenya on the Nairobi-Mombasa highway. Their driver and that of the Land Cruiser survived the crash and were admitted to hospitals with injuries. Dr Mutua sent condolences to the families and friends of officers attached to his office. The governor said the vehicle the officers were travelling in had just dropped off one of his assigned bodyguards and was heading to drop the other officers to their homes when the crash occurred.
