Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has been cleared to defend his seat in the August 8 general election. Mutua arrived at IEBC offices on Thursday with running mate Francis Maliti, wife Lilian Nganga and several MCAs and CECs. Mutua will face Wiper candidate Wavinya Ndeti, Jubilee's Lemi Muia and independent politician Bernard Kiala. But when Ndeti joined Wiper, leader Kalonzo Musyoka said she was likely to be the county's first female chief.
