Asma Abdullareem, 42, a kindergarten teacher at the child care centre in Ban Sala Song in Tambon Sadawa, was killed on a rural road in Moo 3 village in Tambon Sanor at about 9pm. Her husband, Ashaman Abdullareem who is a Pattani-based ranger, was slightly injured. Ashaman said a bullet hit his wife in the neck and his motorcycle fell over. After he got help from local villagers, his wife was taken to a nearby hospital where she died of extensive bleeding.
