Days after the Yogi government ordered madarsas across UP to sing Vande Mataram on Independence Day, a cleric from Bareily has now spoken against it. The cleric says, it is unislamic to sing the national song. "There are some objectionable words in Vande Mataram, therefore, we have requested all the madarsas to boycott this move", said Nasir Qureshi, a Muslim scholar. Several parts of the country saw Muslim groups staging protests against the government's order of making recital of Vande Mataram necessary.
