Musk's recalcitrance in the face of constant scrutiny from the SEC is completely nonsensical. Tesla has until March 11th to demonstrate that this is not a violation of the October 16th agreement. I am not sure how they could possibly do that, when Musk's tweets so obviously constitute a violation of the agreement. Without Musk Tesla is just another electric car company. Musk is what makes Tesla special and in my opinion is responsible--as I have noted in prior Forbes columns--for about half of the company's incredibly rich valuation,If Musk goes, Tesla shares will plummet.
