Musiq Soulchild. photo courtesy of HunniePopular US neo soul singer Musiq Soulchild lands in Bangkok for his first Thai show, "Tom Yum Soul Hot 2019", at Live Arena RCA, Rama IX, on Oct 19 from 8pm. Musiq Soulchild is the stage name of Taalib Johnson, 42, who started his career as a teenager in Philadelphia, where he built up a reputation as a talented singer and beat boxer. His talents across a range of musical styles -- R&B, soul, funk, blues, jazz and gospel -- earned him the nickname "Musiq". It peaked at No.2 on the Billboard R&B album charts and No.3 on the Top Hip-Hop R&B album charts.
