Musical legends a delightful contrast

Mozart and Julie Andrews shine in a show of two halves. Reviewed by Richard MaysDon Giovanni and prima "Donna" Julie Andrews happily entertained in this delightful, distinctive and daftly deft double-whammy musical match-up. It's Wolfgang Amadeus versus a 20th century all-star 11 featuring the likes of Rodgers and Hammerstein, Lerner and Lowe, Sherman and Sherman and George Gershwin, among others. Clever direction by Lyndee-Jane Rutherford makes The Don a rollicking 17th century "Me Too!" Applying the WWJD (What Would Julie Do) maxim to all facets of her life, this was an engaging celebration of her Julie Andrews obsession.
