A Bogra court on Sunday acquitted 15 people including former national Test squad skipper Mushfiqur Rahim’s father of charges of being involved with the killing of a 15-year-old in May. After the order, plaintiff Emdadul Huq, an executive member of Jasad (Hasanul Haq Inu-led faction), told reporters on court premises that he will challenge this order in higher courts. According to Bogra police, Naim confessed to killing Mashuk following a quarrel over a cricket match. A High Court bench on June 5 granted Mahbub Hamid anticipatory bail in the case.
