Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has appointed First Lady Janet Museveni as the new Minister of Education and Sports. Another surprise in new Uganda Cabinet is Betty Kamya, former challenger to Museveni under FDC and own party, as Minister for Kampala. African dignitaries who attended the ceremony were; Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta, Zimbabwe’s Robert Mugabe and the president of South Africa, Jacob Zuma. Museveni was sworn in for his fifth term as Uganda’s president on May 12, 2016. Tumwebaze is now the ICT Minister.
