Governor Alex Tolgos has hit out at Senator Kipchumba Murkomen accusing him of being a liability to the people of Elgeyo Marakwet county. Speaking during a one-hour media briefing in Iten town on Tuesday, Tolgos said Murkomen had failed to serve his own people. Tolgos wants the CRA to allocate the county more than Sh5 billion for effective running of operations and development. Tolgos said the senator should understand his work is first to serve the people who elected him before going for national politics.
