Murder most foul: Five family members burnt alive over witchcraftThe aftermath of a fire that left six family members dead in Nyagau village, Rongo Sub County in Migori County yesterday. According to locals, a gang staged the attack after it was claimed the family was involved in witchcraft. Maritha’s husband Elijah Dwalo and three other family members escaped unharmed during the Thursday night incident which left villages reeling in shock. Police who arrived at the scene are trying to locate an eight years old girl from the family if she was either burnt beyond recognition or escaped. “So far we have not made any arrests but we are investigating the matter,” said Kurui.
