Olivia KelleherA murder investigation has been launched following the completion of a postmortem on a 31-year-old father of one in Cork city. The Ukrainian national was stabbed in the Lower John Street/Knapps Square area at 7.50pm on Monday. The man, who has lived in Ireland since he was a child, managed to make his way home to his apartment within minutes. A Senior Investigating Officer has been appointed to lead the investigation, and an incident room has been established at Watercourse Road Garda Station.
