A murder accused, who was going to attend his case hearing, was shot dead on the Ladhot Road in the district on Friday morning. The deceased has been identified as Ankit of Rithal village. Police say they are suspecting that a gang war may have been the reason behind the murder. Last year, a national-level kabaddi player of Rithal village was shot dead near the same spot in a gang war. The police have registered a case of murder and criminal conspiracy against nine people and have launched a hunt to nab them.
