Pranab Kumar Chowdhury, officer-in-charge of Bakalia police station, said two accused in a murder case—Saiful and Zia Uddin—were arrested in Fatikchhari upazila on Monday. Later, we took the accused with us and conducted a drive in Kolpolok area to recover arms. The OC said Saiful was injured in the “gunfight.”Saiful was taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH), where the on-duty doctor declared him dead. Two policemen were also injured in the incident, OC Pranab said.
