The anti-narcotics cell (ANC) of the Mumbai police has decided to focus their attention on the western and northern suburbs of the city. The ANC officials said this is because drug peddlers are targeting aspiring actors and models who stay in areas like Oshiwara and Lokhandwala. “The ANC has decided to target these peddlers and in a way send a stern message to peddlers across the city. Initially, cocaine was in high demand but was costly and was replaced by MD, however, after the increased crackdown on MD, cocaine is back in demand, another official added. Moreover, western suburbs have had notoriety attached to it for a long time.
