Rizvi College batsman Rudra Dhanday had left his house on Thursday morning with the hope of giving 100 per cent on the field. However, the 19-year-old became the first player to slam a double ton in an official Twenty20 game, overcoming Chris Gayle's 175 for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2013 IPL. There is no record available of a player scoring a double hundred in an official T20 tournament. Dhanday's scored the double ton in a tournament recognised by the MCA and hence, is significant. Dalmia College, in reply, were all out for 75 in 10.2 overs, giving Rizvi College a 247-run win.
