more-inA team of Mumbai Police with the assistance of Hyderabad police raided the house of a serial offender in Madannapet here on Sunday. The raid was part of an investigation into an illegal arms case for which the offender, Waheed Khan, was recently arrested in Mumbai. Khan procured a country-made weapon in Mumbai earlier this year and had ordered bullets for it, said police sources. The intermediary, who was supposed to deliver the bullets tipped off the police, leading to Khan’s arrest. Khan was brought to the city on Sunday as part of the investigation and a raid was conducted at his house in Bharat Nagar area of Madannapet.
