Team R Factor, a group of 24 high school students from over 10 different schools across Mumbai has qualified for the First Robotics Championships (FRC) to be held in Detroit on April 23 where 800 teams from 70 countries will participate. Team R Factor is India's first high school international robotics team that has been participating in FRC since 2016. This year while participating in two regionals at New York, the team won the "Engineering Inspiration Award", for advancing STEM education within their community. Radhika Sekhsaria, grade X, from Oberoi International school, Goregaon, won the Dean's List Finalist Award'. Lead mentor, Nilesh Shah said, "It is amazing how High school students are attempting tasks which even engineering students would take time to understand and replicate."
