The Session's Court on Wednesday held two junior artistes, who were arrested by the police in 2012, guilty of murdering Nepali Actress Minakshi Thapa. The court held the accused guilty on charges of murder, kidnapping, conspiracy and destruction of evidence, apart from charges under the Information Technology (IT) Act. According to the prosecution, Minakshi had bragged that she was rich and acting was only her hobby. This tempted the accused, who were in dire need of money, to hatch a conspiracy to abduct Minakshi and earn money. When the accused realised that they were not getting a ransom, they beheaded her & threw her body in the septic tank.
