The incident took place three years ago but came to light only after the 65-year-old man moved a 'Public Complaint Center' for family disputes in Pydhonie, Mumbai. Chief organiser of the 'Public Complaint Center' Abdul Razzak Maniyar said that though the practice of triple talaq has been misused, it should not be abolished. "It is true that the practice of triple talaq has been misused. The Supreme Court recently concluded the hearing on triple talaq and reserved its verdict on the constitutional validity of the practice.
