Sophie Goudie, 21, and her son Ledwan contracted the deadly infection when the unborn child became distressed in the womb. As Sophie lay on the operating table with partner Barham at her side she feared her baby might not make it. Doctors discovered he had contracted deadly sepsis and he was immediately rushed to ICU to be put on an antibiotic drip.
