Muktijuddho Mancha has announced to file a sedition case against Hifazat-e Islam’s joint secretary general Mamunul Haque and Islami Andolan Bangladesh’s Nayeb-e-Ameer Sayed Faizul Karim on charges of defaming Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the name of opposing his sculpture. So we decided to file a sedition case against them”, he added. The organisation placed a seven-point demand which includes exemplary punishment of Mamunul and Faizul, setting up Bangabandhu’s sculpture at all educational institutions and districts. The mancha will hold a documentary exhibition on the sexual abuse of madrasa students at Raju Memorial Sculpture on Dhaka University (DU) campus next Wednesday. General Secretary of the organization Al Mamun and DU unit president Sonnet Mahmud among others addressed the press conference.
