Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Friday hosted the family of the late Field Marshal Mukami Kimathi at Harambee House Annex. President William Ruto has delegated a team that will run the burial committee for the late field marshall Mukami Kimathi. "In consultation with the family we have agreed that the funeral service will be held on May 13 at her home in Njabini, Nyandarua county," Rigathi Gachagua said. Mukami was the widow of freedom fighter, Field Marshal Dedan Kimathi. "The government has agreed to the request by the family of the late hero that all surviving freedom fighters will be accorded special recognition during the service," Gachagua added.
