He said checks revealed there were 538 private religious institutions throughout the state and only 333 were registered with Muip under Section 113 of the Administration of Islamic Law Enactment 1991. "We have begun the regularisation process and hope to register all private religious institutions by year end. Meanwhile, he said Muip, the local authorities and enforcement agencies can take action against private religious institutions which fail to register after the regularisation process ends. "By registering with Muip, the respective religious schools will receive assistance from Muip and the government including RM200 financial aid to each pupil.
