Finance Minister AMA Muhith has said Bangladesh will officially remain as a least developed country (LDC) until 2024 in the United Nations list, but it will be regarded as a developing country globally. He made the statement on Wednesday while addressing a press briefing at the Finance Ministry on a five-day program to celebrate Bangladesh’s LDC graduation. Once graduated, Bangladesh will not be eligible for support measures given to LDCs accordedby multilateral institutions such as the WTO.
