KUALA LUMPUR: Ho Mun Hua earned Malaysia's first medal in the Wushu World Championships in Kazan, Russia by taking second spot in the men's nangun (cudgel) on Saturday. The 28-year-old, who wants to retire next year, posted 9.63 points to finish behind Taiwan's gold medallist Lai Po Wei (9.65). Mun Hua, a three-time world champion, won one gold (nanquan) and one bronze (nandao-nangun combined) at the Kuala Lumpur Sea Games in August. "It is great to continue my momentum from the Sea Games in the world meet," said Mun Hua on Sunday. Mun Hua, who has suffered multiple leg injuries, wants to become a chef after he retires.
