JAKARTA: Malaysians in or are planning to visit Bali are advised to contact the Malaysian Honorary Consul in Denpasar, or the Malaysian Embassy in Jakarta, to inform them of their whereabouts while on the resort island. He said the embassy and consulate are constantly monitoring the situation and are in contact with Malaysians in Bali, especially students, expatriates and tourists. "The embassy has also informed Malaysian students in Bali to take necessary (precautionary/safety) measures,” Zahrain said. Malaysian students staying within a 12-km radius of the volcano have also been advised to move to safer ground.
