Her vibrant account of how she learned to embrace English that was different from the Malaysian English, or Manglish, she was familiar with at home dazzled Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Dartmouth, Brown, Columbia, Cornell and the University of Pennsylvania. She also earned enthusiastic ‘yesses’ from other top varsities, including Stanford, Johns Hopkins, UC Berkeley, Amherst, Northwestern and the University of Southern California. Also brings memories of many past experiences and brings forth ideas on how we can correct mispronunciations," Rose Alinda wrote on her Facebook page.
