Mrittunjoy's feat is overall the 10th instance of hat-trick in BPL and secondin this season. Earlier, Noakhali Express pacer Mehedi Hasan Rana achieved the feat againstSylhet Titans two weeks ago at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. The exclusive hat-trick club in BPL was opened by Pakistan first bowlerMohammad Sami in the inaugural edition of the tournament in 2012. Pacer Al-Amin Hossain was the first Bangladesh bowler to claim a BPL hat-trick in 2015.
