The Cuban ambassador to Mozambique, Jorge Lopez, yesterday (19.11) presented a congratulatory message from Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel to Daniel Chapo on his election as President of the Republic in the elections held last October, the Frelimo website reports. According to the message presented by Jorge Lopez, Daniel Chapo’s election is unequivocal proof of the people’s support for Frelimo and its candidate. The Cuban ambassador assured that his country is interested in continuing to cooperate with Mozambique in education, sports, technology and the health sector. Daniel Chapo also praised the presence of Cuban doctors in the country, who have supported the National Health System in the treatment of various illnesses. Daniel Chapo also received congratulations from Libya, through its Ambassador to Mozambique, Saleh Elbuaishi, who reiterated his country’s commitment to the development of Mozambique.
