General News of Tuesday, 27 June 2017Source: classfmonline.comMovenpiina got BOST deal while unregistered - Minorityplay videoA section of Minority membersThe Minority in Parliament has alleged that Movenpiina, the company that got a five million-litre fuel contract from the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST), was not registered as a company even before it got that contract to distribute what has now turned out to be contaminated fuel onto the market. “Further information available to us indicate that Movenpiina Company Limited put in a proposal to purchase the fuel on the 19th of May, 2017. “So the company already won a 5m-litre [contract] when the company had not even been registered. This clearly suggests collusion on the part of the actors.”The Minority also noted that the Managing Director of BOST, Alfred Obeng Boateng, gave Movenpiina special treatment in the award of the contract. “Information available before us also indicate that the Managing Director took a decision to grant Movenpiina Company an Open Credit sale against all the advice from his own staff.
