Residents of the village of Ban Therd Chart in Tambon Borphak said the Phak River, swollen by run-off from Mount Soi Dao and Mount Phu Chad after days of torrential rain, overflowed at about 10.30am, swamping their homes. A section of Chart Trakan-Ban Cham Najui Road was under 50 centimetres of water.
