Paliwal is a ceramic artist who enjoys pushing her creative boundaries. The inspiration for her work comes from reflecting and juxtaposing man’s emotions with nature’s forms, patterns and textures found in the natural environment around her. In 2008, I started making terracotta pottery after that I started learning sculpture from my senior Rajesh Anand,” she recalls. My forms are a reflection of man’s relationship with natural forms. She adds a rich glaze to fragments – leaving the natural stoneware forms with an almost surreal presence, the glazing standing out for its subtle shades.
