Paekakariki Hill Rd is closed after a crash on Sunday afternoonOne person suffered serious injuries after a crash in Paekakariki on the Kapiti Coast. Paekakariki Hill Rd was closed for two hours from 4pm on Sunday while emergency services cleared the scene. The cordon on Grays Rd was lifted just before 6pm. A police spokeswoman said the patient's injuries were upgraded from moderate to serious later in the afternoon after they were transported to hospitalThe New Zealand Transport Agency urged motorists in the area to take care and allow extra time for their journey. State Highway 1 and State Highway 58 remained open.
