The Nelson Motorhome Show 2020 held over the weekend at Tāhunanui campground bustled with activity as families and retirees enjoyed the sun while mulling over their camper options. With closed borders and many not wanting to leave the country due to Covid-19, even if they could, Kiwis are travelling in their own backyards – seeing motorhome sales soar. “People can't travel overseas, so they’re enjoying New Zealand.”But he said motorhome businesses were struggling to supply the strong demand. “We’ve done a lot of overseas travel so it’s time to look around more parts of New Zealand.”Others were looking to enhance their travel experience.
