A man who died in a two-motorcycle crash in the rural Whakatāne District on Friday can now be named. The crash on Bell Road, Nukuhou, was reported around 3.15pm on Friday. Sinclair died and another rider sustained minor injuries. Bell Road is about 30 minutes southeast of Whakatāne, and the crash happened on the section between Miller Road and SH2. Police said enquiries into the circumstances of the crash were ongoing, and they wanted to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident.
