A motorcyclist is dead after a collision with an SUV in northeast Calgary Sunday night, paramedics said in a release. The motorcyclist, a man in his late 30s, was extricated from under the SUV but was declared dead at the scene. EMS responded to the intersection of 25th Avenue and Edmonton Trail N.E. The SUV driver, a man in his early 40s, also had to be removed from the vehicle due to damage, but he was not injured after being assessed by EMS. Police are investigating factors that led to the collision.
