A 69-year-old has been flown to Christchurch Hospital after crashing in Otago. A motorcyclist suffered critical injuries after coming off his bike near Waikouaiti, north of Dunedin. The incident happened on State Highway 1 about 4.30pm on Wednesday. The 69-year-old motorcyclist hit a guard rail and was critically injured, police said. He was initially taken to Dunedin Hospital, and later flown to Christchurch Hospital.
